This compact and balanced jacket from Blue Blue Japan highlights the richness of sashiko fabric, woven with a thick grey thread that adds depth and texture.

The fabric is then coated with Empaku pigment, – a traditional ingredient used in Oshiroi (Japanese white makeup) since ancient times; then drum-dried for a subtle finish. The precisely applied pigment reveals the texture and nuances of the textile, creating a piece that is authentic, refined and timeless.
